The Pipeline Project is composed of 9 of Belmont University’s most qualified students selected through a highly competitive application and interview process. Team members range in discipline from musicians and artists to agents and managers and seek to develop a unique and unbiased perspective of the music industry through consultation, collaboration, and research. Throughout the summer, Pipeline met with a variety of music industry executives from SONY, SONY BMG, The Grand Ole Opry, ASCAP, BMI, and Black River Entertainment. Pipeline created two different solutions for the problems these companies face. A user friendly, social data aggregate was presented to the companies with hopes of using the technology for identifying brands and matching them with a specific artist. Pipeline also pitched a webisode series to The Grand Ole Opry called “Beyond the Circle” that partnered legendary country hits with the young country artists of today. The Grand Ole Opry will hopefully be producing our webisode series in 2014.

Produced an arena show for over 4,000 people in the Curb Event Center at Belmont University. This show consisted of professional stage pieces donated from Country Music Awards as well as managing a crew of over 70 students. The Best of the Best showcases have honored Mike Curb from Curb Records, Vince Gill, Bandit Lighting, IEBA, and are attended by various labels, PROs, and industry people alike. I was able to secure over sponsorships and donations for the showcase as well as partner with the Seratoma Club of Nashville in educating students on hearing loss and decibel limits.
