Prize LLC
Jun 2011 - Mar 2013
Austin, Texas Area
Prize is a high end gifts/ interior design boutique in downtown Austin, known for it's bespoke customer service and exclusive brands from around the world. As a retail stylist I was responsible for performing opening and closing procedures, receiving shipments and entering all new stock into quickbooks, complete markdowns and sales and ensure that sales & stock is accurate. Managing day to day stock replenishment, maintaining the visual flow of the boutique, providing excellent customer service, being knowledgable about our products, whether it be fragrance, art books or decorative light fixtures. I later moved up to assistant buyer for existing accounts, where I worked with the senior buyer to develop buying strategies for the store's three departments. I helped coordinate budgets, analyze sales data, create trend reports that reflected the store's vision, and maintained relationships with our existing account's representatives, researched new brands and designers to consider when visiting trade shows like Magic, Pool, Capsule and the Dallas Apparel & Accessories Market.
Stage Manager

Austin TX
Stage Manager for official SXSW showcases over the music portion of Austin's huge multimedia trade show.
Assistant Buyer
Social Industries
Jun 2008 - Dec 2010
Hampstead Heath London, West Hampstead London
Social Industries is an independent boutique with two locations in London, selling both high- end vintage and current lines such as Religion, Revolution, Firetrap, Obey, French Connection, and also smaller indie brands sourced from trade shows. I started as a sales supervisor and moved up to assistant buyer in eight months, until finally moving on to being 2nd buyer for both boutiques in another 6 months. As an assistant buyer I would scout new lines and review the best to present to the buyer, and coordinate appointments and the budget. Occasionally I would come to appointments to help buy. As 2nd buyer I would meet with the executive buyer every two weeks to develop seasonal marketing plans and pick a general direction for the shops, in terms of trends, and which lines would go to which shops. Every quarter we would analyze seasonal and hindsight information, analyze sales data, trends and competition to develop the strategies necessary to make our brand grow. Every season I would travel with the executive buyer to shows such as BBB, Pure, and Who’s Next, scouting upcoming trends, fresh designers, and keep up with our house brands to assemble next season’s collections.
