Clearance: Secret Structural Analysis Engineer: Performed preliminary layout and detailed calculations, to size large primary and secondary metallic aircraft structure for the F-35 Lightning II. Utilized both classical hand calculations and FEM analysis to derive a low weight design with minimum margins of safety. Analyzed airframe structure for strength, stability and fatigue. Provided assembly line support to quickly clear incorrectly fabricated parts w/o impacting schedule. Updated analysis to incorporate late load releases and requirement changes. Chosen to be a part of several high visibility teams responsible for schedule critical parts. Performance recognized by coworkers through Playmaker of the Week and Weight Improvement Program awards. Honored with the “Timely Awards Plan” cash award for outstanding BTP support of jig critical “focus” parts.
