Astral Body Church was displayed during a Pleix exhibition "FUTURE DAYS BY PLEIX" at the Cercle Cité in Luxembourg Formed In 2001, PLEIX was born out of a meeting between seven artists with different visions but with a desire to come together to mix complimentary approaches and draw on each other’s inspiration. Their work uses creative media, video and electronic music to deliberately misappropriate our surroundings so as to better understand them. Fortunate accidents and the small contradictions of life, are the ready-made meals with which the digital collective Pleix likes to feed itself. From the advertising world, Pleix examines our time’s contradictions in a playful and symbolic way, and reveals its subliminal messages. On view on their website Pleix.net, their creations are regularly shown in contemporary art galleries, including the Centre Pompidou, the Grand Palais or the Gaîté lyrique in Paris, the Ferme du Buisson (Noisel), the the Modern Art Museum of San Francisco, the Tokyo Museum of Photography, the MU (Eindhoven)… but Pleix, also comfortable in the avant-garde , has also successfully established itself on numerous film events. They have participated in festivals such as Onedotzero, Restfest, Nemo, the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival or, in 2015, at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival (Utah). Their work have accumulated numerous awards over the last years. Pleix’s installations revolve around the loneliness of the human being and rail against overconsumption. Their leitmotiv could be what HG Wells called ” An Experiment in Prophecy”.Humans, in perpetual quest of pleasure, accumulate ceaselessly a growing number of all kinds of objects. This overconsumption affects everyday life, as well as food as and leisure, in a more and more dehumanized though growing society, where even people remain desperately alone.

"While our contribution to a project may be massive, our touch is to remain invisible to the viewer's eye. Our philosophy is that Beauty work is the work that one should not see. As with every great illusion no tell tale signs will remain."

Astral Body Church was displayed during a Pleix exhibition in Netherlands at the MU museum Paradise Pleix Fortunate accidents and the small contradictions of life, now and the day after tomorrow, are the ready-made meals with which the digital collective Pleix likes to feed itself. Based in Paris, the seven-members of Starship Pleix sometimes seems to be in orbit around the Earth in order to be able to observe and map it out even more clearly. Because what on earth are all those creatures doing there? Human beings, animals, and everything in between. Everything is transforming, deforming or mutating. They are throwing themselves en masse into pleasure, but in all the hustle and bustle a wry feeling of loneliness and vulnerability still predominates. Come too close and everyone turns out be armed or harnessed to the teeth. It is certainly not paradisiacal if you look at it through Pleix’s eyes. But neither is it totally devoid of humour, melancholy and absurdity. Perhaps Paradise Pleix is first and foremost life as it is, and then a touch exaggerated in the digital overdrive. The fact that their work links up with the theme of GLOW, in which the city shows its face, is an extra bonus. The first week of Paradise Pleix coincides with this imposing light-art event. And who would not want to be enlightened and enter paradise if it is on the way anyway

"Glamrock City" aka "Art et Décès", a bad taste sexy, cheap and gory movie made in the craziest manner by 3 directors, including me:) Director: Christophe kay Kourdouly, Stephanie Jauny, Luc Job Duration: 90 minutes Synopsis: A thrilling tale of the femme fatale, "ART ET DECES aka Glamrock City," written and directed by Christophe Kourdouly, Stéphane Jauny and Luc Job, screened at the Marche on May 19th. Produced by Antetime Production, the film is of two girls who in search of inspiration kill men to capture their last breath of life and create Art from Death for their next painting exhibition. The film showed great emotion and an intriguing plot line that keeps your attention. In a twist, the directors listed above, including the third director, Luc Job, casted themselves into the final scene. An emotional and riveting tale, Glamrock City is a story of love taken to the extreme. Year: 2010 Country: France/ UK

NUIT BLANCHE 2007 Astral Body Church ABC Pleix The Paris based digital artists' community, Pleix, had made a fantastic comment on our obsession with the perfection in the human body form. Astral Body Church project involves bodybuilders with the faces of old people, who seem to be miming pseudo-religious imagery. The video piece had created for La Nuit Blanche 2007 event and projected on the Saint-Eustache church, Paris. The sculptural performance created by the slow movement of the images makes the whole scene more dramatic while disturbing the viewer with its weirdness on the church and leaving us in contemplation of the perception of the body in modern society.
