Mark Palansky’s dynamic and evocative visual style has graced screens large and small—from his award-winning short The Same to his critically acclaimed feature debut Penelope, starring Christina Ricci, James McAvoy, Reese Witherspoon and Catherine O’Hara. He has created memorable ads for top brands such as Fiat and Target. In 2017, his work was seen in the visual feast and hugely popular, Netflix show A Series of Unfortunate Events. His second feature, Rememory, starring Peter Dinklage, premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and was bought and released by Lionsgate and Google the same year. He currently has several projects in the pipeline including a new psychological thriller with Simon Pegg, a genre film for Producer Michael Bay, a gothic revenge feature with Peter Dinklage and a documentary on the ‘Godfather of Pop Surrealism,’ artist Mark Ryden. He is in early prep on an inspired new heist film called My Only Sunshine starring John Cusack, Uma Thurman and JK Simmons.
