Managing the applications made to the Young Masters Art Prize 2014, PR and marketing, and creating and managing social media content posts. Assist with the curation and artwork selection for the London Art Fair 2014 gallery booth.

Responsible for administering telephone bids for overseas clients, and assisting with general administration and maintaining the salesroom floor during the October 2013 and December 2013 sales.

Main responsibilities: Administering telephone bids during auctions for absent clients. Liaising with clients both in person and through telephone, corresponding through email, and handling general enquiries. Cataloguing, Lotting and preparing objects of value for upcoming sales and ensuring the correct editing of catalogue information. Photographing objects for clients and invoicing sold works, maintenance of sale-room floor. Providing administrative and technical support to head of auction house and head of operations, as well as back-of-house administration. Ensuring careful handling of objects within the sale room floor, carrying out portering duties. Assisting with packaging and shipping of sold/unsold lots, as well as liaising with shipping companies.

Main responsibilities: Managing the gallery on a day-to-day basis - invigilating the exhibition space and providing front of house and administrative assistance through written/telephone correspondence, maintaining inventory and general office organisation, assisting and supervising interns. Assisting with sales of prints and gallery merchandise. Compiling daily reports for internal managers and directorial staff, and liaising between various departments at the venue. Responsible for opening, sales, handling cash liaising with clients, and greeting guests. Actively contributing towards the gallery’s exhibition programme and upcoming projects through ongoing research. Compiling research on art works for sale, gallery preview guest lists including high profile individuals, and merchandise for gallery store. Careful handling and maintenance of art works within the exhibition space. Preparation of the exhibition space prior to preview nights - painting and plastering walls, fixing lights, ensuring frames are straight.

Main responsibilities: Managing The Art Newspaper stand at The London Art Fair 2013 and Olympia Art and Antiques Fair 2013 Promoting and introducing the publication to potential subscribers and enquirers, as well as answering general questions. Selling subscriptions of the newspaper. Ensuring the efficient distribution of copies of The Art Newspaper, both throughout the fair and at the stand.

Magic of Persia is a UK-based charity which nurtures and develops Iranian cultural practitioners of the arts. This is accomplished by establishing initiatives promoting modern, contemporary and classical Persian art, music and media in partnership with world-class institutions. One of the charity’s most established initiatives to date is the bi-annual Magic of Persia Contemporary Art Prize (MOP CAP); a global search to identify the next generation of Iranian artists. Main responsibilities: Organizing and executing preparatory tasks for an exhibition preview at the Saatchi Gallery and panel discussion at the British Museum, compiling guest lists and maintaining correspondence with associates of MOP through telephone and email. Providing front of house assistance at major events hosted by Magic of Persia through administering artist catalogue sales and organizing the events guest list. Working closely with the chief executive of the foundation, taking minutes at MOP staff meetings and organizing to-do lists.

Main responsibilities: General administration - organisation of the office space, preparation of gallery wall labels, answering email and telephone enquiries. Close handling of original prints, by artists such as Picasso, Miro, Dali and Chagall, both around the gallery and in preparation for art fairs. Use of art databases such as artprice and artnet, and maintenance of stock on the gallery website. Updating stocklist on the gallery database. Photographing and uploading artworks onto the database. Use of photoshop for image manipulation. Assisting with the layout and hanging of artworks. Basic knowledge of original lithograph and etching prints, particularly of the modern period. Contributing and helping towards preparation of artworks and stand layout for art fairs such as the LAPADA fair 2012. Regular updating of the gallery website and social networking platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin) and increasing online presence through regular posting of original writing material. Organising international shipping of prints.
